The Lions Club of New Holland held its semi monthly meeting Tuesday evening at 6 30 in the American Legion Home with many members present. Dr J A Homan reported on the Community Hall Committee and future procedures were outlined. An entertainment debate featured CS Zwally J Paul Kochel Rev C G Bachman and H B Ressler. The next meeting is set for Tuesday evening June 24 with five officers to be elected.

William Wallace 85 dies at daughter’s home in Kinzer
William Wallace aged eighty five died Friday at 3 40 p m at his daughter Mrs Lemon Wenger's home in Kinzer after a week long illness. A lifelong Earl Township resident he spent recent years with his daughter. He worked as a carpenter and farmer and served as a state roads inspector and Earl Township assessor. A Civil War era teamster he was a charter member of P O S of A No 40 New Holland and a founder of Mt Tab United Brethren Church. Surviving are his daughter, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services were held at his daughter's home then at Zeltenreich Reformed Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Training School Commencement Set for April Ninth

County firemen qualifying for first aid certificates

New Holland Alumni to Form Solid Body
At New Holland High School on March 11 a committee led by Edwin C. Diller and including Mareie Ranek Evelyn Roseboro Nahar Robinson and Martin Snader was formed to reorganize the temporary alumni group into a solid working unit with advisor support from Prof Lowry and J Paul Korhel. Plans for a general alumni day and a production of the musical comedy See You Later on December 3 and 4 1931 were proposed to jump start the new organization.
