Child Fatally Burned by Falling into Hot Lard at Home
A three year old boy died after tumbling into a can of hot lard at the Weaver residence near Bark Union School House three miles northeast of town on Wednesday afternoon. Neighbors and a butcher were nearby when the accident occurred and Hoanineer will be in charge.

The Firemen's Fair Best Ever Held
The New Holland Fire Company held its annual fair over four rainy evenings. The theatre was crowded each night with many articles cakes and good eats. Receipts totaled 3661 dollars 87 cents, about 60 dollars more than last year. Expenses were 858 dollars 99 cents leaving an asset balance of 2802 dollars 38 cents for fire equipment upkeep.

Farmer Dies at Sale Near East Lampeter Township
Aldus H. Weaver, a 63 year old retired farmer of East Lampeter, collapsed at a farm sale near his home on March 3 and died of heart failure. He left a widow, one son A Ross, three grandchildren, and three brothers. Funeral services were held at Longenecker's church with private home services and burial in Longenecker's cemetery.

Overcome by Coal Gas Near Hinkletown Family Affected
