February Red Cross reports detail Sewing and Knitting outputs in New Holland with items such as sweaters scarves socks and hospital shirts. Support the Fair Promotes Fire Engine Fund Drive

A fair last Saturday night drew a large crowd with Mrs. Roth’s orchestra, patriotic numbers, and liberal patronage. Receipts reached 486 dollars. The fair continues tonight with booths and amusements as preparations for the April 11 and 12 stage production The Patriotic Jubilee proceed for the fire engine fund.

Barn Fire Destroys Farm Barn Near Mountville
A barn sized 18 by 40 feet on John M. Fralch’s Mountville area farm burned Wednesday night around 10. The fire origin remains undetermined and damage is under 1,000 dollars. Tenants John Sherick witnessed Knox Valley bucket brigade save a nearby large barn within 18 feet of the blaze.

Missionary Pageant Celebrates Anniversary at Church
A Sunday service at the United Brethren church featured a joint meeting of the Woman's Missionary Association and the Otterbein Guild celebrating their anniversary. The program included a processional, antiphonal singing, a prayer, an echo Bible reading, a mission pageant, and a peony offering parade. The total offerings reached 26.11 dollars. Six new members joined, and Florence Wright performed a solo.

Big Sale at Greens Bank draws record crowd
Public sale by Harry C Clark near Greens Bank last Thursday attracted the largest attendance in the area. Prices fetched strong bids with a horse at 345 dollars a cow 161 dollars and poultry at 2 dollars a piece.
