Leola lumber dealer H M Stauffer, wintering in Florida since January 26, underwent a successful operation at Orange General hospital in Orlando. He was treated after a cold illness led to surgery performed by Dr Orr, with daughter Miss Fanny Stauffer present. Son Robert remains in Florida but plans to return home soon. John Lehman, who drove the Stauffer car, has returned home.

Leonard Levitt Earns Medal with All-State Symphony
Leonard Levitt son of Mr and Mrs Abe Levitt A clarinetist from this borough returned from a four day Pittsburgh trip where he played first clarinet in the All State Symphony Orchestra. The Pennsylvania School Music Association sponsored the event and it drew 150 representatives from eighty Pennsylvania schools. Levitt and fellow musicians were treated to a luncheon dinner and two banquets. He added another medal to his collection.

School Board Plans Four Room Annex At High School
