The New Holland High School varsity defeated Terre Hill High School 52 to 16 Friday night to extend their winning streak to four in the Northern High School League. Garman and Aungst led the offense with consistent scoring as the locals pulled away early and never faced pressure.

Bible Classes to Go Coatesville Sunday

The Men’s Bible Class of St Stephen and Zeltenreich Church schools will motor to Coatesville on Sunday to attend a Y M C A lecture by Dr Crane. The caravan leaves from J C Henninger’s residence at 12 30 sharp. Members without cars are asked to notify the committee to arrange transport.

The local Business and Professional Woman's Club opened the National B P W Week with a bakery tour at Wright Bakery and a benefit show at the Edison Theatre. Members attended a Lancaster Fashion Show and a Malta Band concert is planned at the High School Auditorium Sunday at 2 15 pm with no admission, a silver offering requested. The final Public Relations Dinner is set for Thursday March 10 with civic group representatives in attendance.

Ruby Store Added to Rubinson Chain in Ephrata

A sixth Ruby store opened last week in the Mentzer Building at Main and State in Ephrata Pa. The renovated space offers men women and children clothing dry goods and other merchandise. Rubinson founded the chain years ago and has expanded with stores in Churchtown Honey Brook Reading and Philadelphia.

Radio Gospel Rally Draws Large Edison Theatre Crowd

Laban Raezer takes charge of Besore and Saus man grocery store house in Groffdale last week. The Clarion prints new party primary rules stirring political mood. A coal oil lamp exploded at Benjamin Beck's home causing no fire. New Holland pike badly damaged by heavy tobacco teams. A runaway horse disrupted Shiffer's Store area, toppled a cook stove at Dillman Barr, then went to Blue Ball before being returned to Styer House stables. Local sales reported strong crowds for exhibitors including Brubaker Caldwell Schnupp Zimmmerman Houder Sensenig Ammon Numbers and Diller. Local telephone stock sold at 34.50 per share in borough sale.

Ten years ago from the Clarion reports Captain John S. Rodgers a Civil War veteran and East Earl schoolteacher of 33 years died at his daughter Mrs Barton Sensenich home in Philadelphia. He was over 80. Snow seven inches fell Wednesday morning and 62.34 miles of toll roads are used in the Southy Beret region.
