Levi G. Ranck of New Holland was seriously injured when his motor car ran off the road and struck a 12 inch cherry tree near Hinkletown pike. He had just taken home Miss Anna Burkholder. Dr. John A. Hoffman attended and ordered his removal to Lancaster General Hospital with severe chest injuries and possible internal damage.

Mrs Fannie Geigley Nearing Her Ninety Third Birthday
The lightly frail but cheerful Mrs. Fannie Geigley turns 93 next Wednesday June 30. Her life story reveals resilience from early hardship through a major abdominal tumor and a pioneering surgery at Hahnemann Hospital. Despite weight under 100 pounds she recovered impressively, earning the nurses’ affection as “the Midget.”

Infant Frank W. Nolt Dies of Lobar Pneumonia
The three month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry B. Nolt of near Churchtown died at 5 00 a m Monday from lobar pneumonia. He is survived by his parents and three sisters Edna Vera and Ella all at home. Private services were held at the parental home followed by public services at 2 00 p m in the Churchtown Mennonite church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

New Holland Boy Fourth Drowning Victim in County
Herbert H. Blankenbiller Jr seven year old son of Herbert H and Mary Kessler Blankenbiller of this place drowned in the local swimming pool Saturday evening. A verdict of accidental death was returned by Deputy Coroner J C Henninger after review by County Coroner Dr A V Walter. Lifeguard William Stoner found the body about eleven o clock in seven feet of water after a late search. The pool was closed at 8 30 and the boy had not returned home. He is survived by a brother, two grandmothers and his family. Funeral services were held Thursday at Mohnton.

Fire damages home as lamp overturns during family day
An overturned lamp started a blaze at Israel Bair's home with Mrs Bair and the children inside. Red Lion Hotel workers banded together to extinguish the fire. At a local Children's Day service in the Reformed Church Sallie Lied and Mary Gerhard recited while Rev. William P Compton gave the address. Laura Eshleman played the organ. Harry C Brubaker traveled to New Holland last Saturday selling new potatoes for 30 cents a peck. The bass player for the New Holland Band misplaced his instrument at a Laurelville festival hosted by George Miller and a reward was offered for its return.
