New Holland Lions Seek Road Widening Action
The New Holland Lions Club at a Tuesday meeting approved a petition to widen the entrance from Main Street to North Railroad Avenue to ease freight traffic congestion and pedestrian danger. A committee led by Edgar Weber, Paul Esbenshade and Charles W. Good will forward signatures to the State Highway Department, County Commissioners, and Borough council. The club also planned June Constitution celebration and offered disbanded band uniforms to the high school. Reba Plank reported representing New Holland at the Wellsboro Lauré festival.
