Leola Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church dedicated last Sunday with Rev. W. H. Shaffer delivering the dedicatory sermon. The new brownstone edifice cost about 216,000 with $6,300 pre-subscriptions and $5,140 raised on dedication day. gifts fund the remaining balance.

Gap Team Defeats Home Club In Narrow Baseball Contest

Strasburg serenade ends with gunfire injuring youth
Last Thursday evening in Strasburg a group of young people went to Jacob Ulrich’s home to serenade him after his wedding. Ulrich fired from a window with a bean-filled gun, injuring Charles Myers who lost vision in one eye and peppering others whose clothing bore the impact. Ulrich regrets the act as a reckless mistake in a night of sport.

Rev and Mrs Cramer Sail for European Tour on Cunard Vessel
Reverend and Mrs W Stuart Cramer departed Tuesday for New York and sailed Thursday on the Cunard steamer Pannonia for a tour through Italy Switzerland Germany Holland Ireland Scotland and England. Drowning Death of Granddaughter at Millway Home
A one and a half year old granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Graybil Minnich of Lititz drowned Wednesday in an eight gallon stone crock filled with water left on a kitchen floor at John Wolf's Millway home. The aunt Anna Wolf found the child and called for help. she died before aid arrived. The body was taken to Lititz for burial at Longenecker's Cemetery this afternoon.
