The King's Daughters met Tuesday at Mrs. J. A. Hoffman's home with Miss Maria Bender leading Bible study and Miss Dorothy Stokes on piano. Sympathy committees were named for West New Holland and East New Holland. entertainment was arranged by Miss Bender and Mrs. Brackin. Mrs. Hoffman won a prize in a game. a strawberry social brought in a neat sum.

Borough Council Sees PWA Water Project Survey
The council ordered a hydraulic survey to apply for federal Public Works funds for a town water system overhaul. Reading engineers William H. De Chant and Sons will conduct the study at 450 dollars, with 150 dollars for the grant application. The plan could include a 110 foot standpipe reservoir for fire needs and a 30 year loan at low interest, with 45 percent grant and 55 percent loan. The survey begins yesterday and will take about a week.
