George Miller, a lifelong farmer and Civil War veteran, died after a lingering illness. Survived by wife of 20 years, children Martha Dunlap Emma Gran Lillie Weaver Annie Myers George Roland John Harry Ella William, one brother J Roland Miller, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Zeltenreich Reformed Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. funeral director J C Henninger led arrangements.

Rain Dampens Liberty Fire Festival Crowd

Fresh Air Kiddies End Two Week's Vacation
Lancaster County welcomed more than seven hundred New York City children for a two week fresh air outing. The New Yorkers, mostly East Side tenement residents, arrived July 15 and were hosted across the county with New Holland hosting thirty two youngsters. Lions Club members helped transport and offered each child a Lions flag before turning them over to New York Tribune representatives for the homeward trip.
