George W. Steinmetz died Sunday at his Ephrata home after strokes. Born 1827 near Ephrata, he lived in Clay and South Annville, ran a mercantile store and cigar factory, retired in 1900, and served as Clay postmaster and deputy 1878 to 1900. He leaves a son Hiram, a notary. Funeral held Thursday at Brickerville. Sarah Seldomridge died Monday night aged 72 at Farmersville from heart trouble. Daughter of Daniel Swope, she was a Zeltenreich Church member. survivors include husband and four children, with a large list of siblings. Funeral from her home morning service after which procession proceeded to local church burial.
