Fire damages two family farm dwelling
Fire of undetermined origin likely triggered by a lightning bolt caused about $2,000 in damage to the Martin family home in East Earl R.1 at 3 40 p m Sunday. Two men were injured. Levi Hertzog of Blue Ball sustained finger lacerations from broken glass, and Harry M Martin suffered a scalp cut from falling ceiling plaster. Fire crews from Blue Ball and New Holland fought a blaze in the kitchen partition and ceiling while drawing water from the Martin well and a neighbor's cistern.
