Funeral Services Held at Martindale Mennonite Church

Services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:60 o'clock from the late home for a partner. Funeral services were held at Martindale Mennonite Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Elmer Fasnacht Dies After Lingering Illness

Elmer Fasnacht aged sixty five died Tuesday night at 9 80 o clock at the home of Fern Russell in this borough after a lingering illness. He was a trustee of Trinity Lutheran church and an active member. Survived by brothers Bilton of Bareville and Jacob of Philadelphia. Funeral at 2 pm from Trinity Lutheran church New Holland with burial in adjoining cemetery.

Bathing Pool OK After Water Tests

Water samples from the Willow Brook Pool source and the pool were tested by the Harrisburg Department of Health. Health Officer Jerry Mumma reported on July 19 1929 that both the pool fill water and the pool water are satisfactory for swimming. Lancaster County C E Society Wins Third in Publicity Contest

At the International Christian Endeavor Convention in Kansas City in July the Lancaster County Union earned third place in the Publicity Contest. A Scrapbook containing 59871 inches of news clipping from city and county papers impressed judges. Paul M. Russell, Publicity Manager, did the writing and compiling over two and a half years. Miss Edna M. Leaman praised the book as attractive and well prepared in the competition among unions from Massachusetts to California.
