Arrangements are complete for the Ranck Clan reunion at Lititz Springs Park in Lititz Pennsylvania on Thursday August 4. Prof Norman Ranck of Millersville State Teachers College will speak. Michael Burkholder was appointed treasurer of the East Harl township school board to succeed Phares Zimmerman. The proposed budget, tax rate of eight mills, and $1 per capita tax are listed for inspection at secretary Paul M. Sensenich, Narvon R. D. 2.

High Cow Brings $147 at Martin Livestock Sale

Forty head of cows and 50 shoats brought an aggregate of $3,842.71 at a public sale held Wednesday by William Z. Martin near this borough. The top price for a cow was $147 for a Holstein from Juniata County. Other cows sold for $142, $125, $124 and $120. Pigs weighing 35 to 110 pounds sold for $4.59 to $12 per head.

Hillside Services Attract 251 At Bridgeville Church Farm

The first hillside service by Bridgeville Evangelical Congregational church on the A. G. Boley farm drew 251 attendees. A second hillside service is planned for Sunday evening July 31 sponsored by the Evergreen Class of the Sunday School.

Girl 6 injured by field roller near Ephrata barn

Dorothy Martin six, daughter of Mr and Mrs Noah Martin of Ephrata R 3, was hit by a wooden field roller while playing with siblings. She suffered possible skull fracture and internal injuries and was taken to Dr Lloyd S Hutchison in Ephrata and then to the hospital by Legion ambulance.
