Miss Elsie C Stephan aged fifty one of Akron died at her home after a lingering illness. She was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church Lincoln and daughter of the late Carl and Mary Rock Stephan of Ephrata township. Surviving are a brother George R Stephan Weidmansville Vera wife of Edgar Binkley Akron and Mrs Amanda Miller New Holland. Funeral from Tate home at 1 30 am Saturday then from Church at Lincoln at 2 pm. Interment Lincoln Cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 9 pm Friday evening at the late frame.

Harold L. Frank Discharged From Army
Harold L. Frank of this borough was discharged from Walter Reed General Hospital after thirty seven months service. He served thirteen months overseas and was injured June 6 1944 in a German mine explosion near Velletri Italy with the 350th Infantry of the 88th Blue Devil Division. He earned the ETO Ribbon with two battle stars the Unit Presidential Citation the Infantry Combat Badge the Purple Heart the ATO Ribbon and the Victory Medal. He now resides with his parents in New Holland.
