Outing of Lancaster County Publishers Association
The Lancaster County Publishers Association held its annual outing on Monday to Peach Bottom on the Susquehanna. Members from Quarryville Lititz Eph rata and other towns joined a nine mile narrow gauge rail journey through Eden and East Drumore to Fairmount Fulton House and Peach Bottom enjoying a host dinner and hospitality before returning via trolley.

Harvesting Accident Injures Horse and Dog
A Fairmount farmer, David W Ranch of West Earl township, lost a horse after a runaway caused by a ram page while cutting wheat with a grass mower. The elder Ranch’s horse, a valued 2 30 driver bought for 250, was killed. A dog at Levi Ranch’s place was also killed in a separate mowing accident.

Preacher Rev Jacob Thomas Schedules Two Mennonite Services

Fire at Steinmetz Farm Hits Eagle Lumber Co Plant
A 3 a m fire at the Steinmetz farm near Schoeneck engulfed the Eagle Lumber Co portable saw mill as workers slept in the camp shanty. Firefighters saved most of the plant with only some machinery and lumber lost. Origin unclear, but sparks from the engine are suspected.
