Eliza G Sensenig widow of ae Martindale died at home from effects of paralysis at age 24? She is survived by 24 grandchildren and others. Services were private from home Wednesday with public services at 2 o clock in Martindale Mennonite church. Burial followed in adjoining cemetery.

King's Daughters Meet At New Holland Circle Session
The Loyal Workers' Circle of the King's Daughters met Tuesday evening at St Stephen Reformed church New Holland. Dues were collected from members and a King's Son. New members enrolled include Mrs Frank Alderfer and Miss Anna Mearig. Officers and volunteers were named for New Holland Blue Ball area and a reading from The Silver Cross titled Proclaim Liberty was presented. The meeting adjourned with Mizpah benediction.

Lions Club Stages Big Meeting Organizes Baseball Team
The Lions Club of New Holland held its first meeting of the year at the Boy Scout Hut on July 18 with many members present. New officers include President Earle Wright and Secretary Paul Kochel. Two new members were welcomed, Dr. C. S. Duttenhoffer and Ir win S. Weaver. The group approved forming a baseball team with Lion Esbenshade as manager and Charles Zwally as water boy, aiming to play Ephrata next, likely July 27. A Fresh Air Kiddies drive volunteers were organized and Rev. John G. Noss gave an address at meeting end.

High School Pupils Picnic at Mt Gretna
Sixty one New Holland High School students attended the third annual picnic at Kauffman’s New Park Mt Gretna. They left town at 8 30 in two large motor buses Miss Ephrata and Miss Lancaster led by Mark Hirshman and Burkey a number of picnickers traveled in three smaller cars. An accident delayed the Lancaster vehicle but all passengers reached the park safely by one o'clock.

The Daily Vacation Bible School under the Sunday School Assn of Dist No 12 opens at Terre Hill in the public school building on Monday morning July 19. Salisbury Fire Festival Set at White Horse Saturday Night
Salisbury Fire Company No 1 of White Horse will stage its annual festival in the village this Saturday evening July 17. The field accommodates thousands with ample parking and Lititz Concert Band will furnish music. Everyone is invited. Fire Damages Spring House Near Mentzer Farm A small fire started in the spring house on the Chester A Mentzer farm about three miles south of town Tuesday at 12:45 PM. Liberty Fire Company pumper and chemical engines quickly extinguished the blaze. The spring site supplied water for the blaze. the building is badly damaged but no other damage reported.

A Lancaster County youth left Lancaster by train with county quota to attend Citizens Military Training Camp at Fort Eustis Virginia. He reports warm reception and good meals but extreme heat with temperatures of 106 and 100 degrees. Large Black Snake Killed On Duck Farm Near Town
