The New Holland Lions Club held an attendance contest dinner at Miller's Restaurant on Lincoln Highway near Banks with 52 members present. President J. Paul Kochel led a session that included a Lions International table flag set honoring 28 flags. gift from Parke Groff and sons Kris and Eric. Directors limited meetings to 1.5 hours. Fresh Air Guests Entertained in New Holland Area
About 375 youngsters aged 4 to 12 arrived in Lancaster and surrounding areas for a Fresh Air holiday program. Of these, 222 were brought to Lancaster and placed with homes in city outskirts and county towns, with 37 staying in York County and 14 discharged along county routes. Emma Denlinger, Paradise, coordinates the local Fresh Air project extending to Coatesville and Downingtown.

School Board Raises Property Tax One Mill and Elects Teachers
New Holland Board of Education accepted the resignation of health and physical education teacher George W. Kauffman and filled vacancies with Richard K. Stockton of Lancaster and Miss Gloria Piersol of Wildwood Crest. Stockton, a Temple graduate and WWII veteran, will coach soccer junior high basketball and tennis and has a background as a swimming instructor and recreation director.
