Borough Council enacted an ordinance to lay out and open an extension of North Roberts Avenue. The 9740 square foot property was deeded to the borough at no cost by Mrs. Barbara F Hess and Mr. and Mrs. Roy K Hooker. The new street will extend to the borough limits toward Moses Hoyard’s property to the north.

Two killed? Noted road crash injures two women in Birdsboro area
A head on collision on Route 28 between Churchtown and Morgantown injured Mrs. Dorothy Lengle, 23, and Laura Millard, 17, both hospitalized after the 7:45 am crash. Har ry Brown of Narvon drove into the Millard car as workers paused, with witnesses saying both women suffered serious injuries and a possible knee fracture.

County Championship Target Shoot Set At New Holland
The New Holland Rod and Gun Club hosts the fourth annual County Championship Target Shoot on Saturday afternoon. A 100 target match begins at 12 30 p m with Bill Hoshower in charge and a double target event offered. The open event is for all shooters but only county residents can win the trophy. Obituary of Miss Mabel L Herr of Millersville
Miss Mabel L Herr fifty four formerly of Millersville died at her sister s home in the borough Monday afternoon. She is survived by her mother Mrs Emma H Herr of New Holland and by several sisters and brothers. She was connected with Grace Evangelical Congregational church Millersville and held leadership roles there. Funeral services were held at the late home and the Grace Evangelical Church with interment in the church cemetery.
