Patriotic Camp 40 Members Hear Inspiring Sermon
Members of Washington Camp No. 40 of the Patriotic Order Sons of America attended a United Brethren church service last Sunday evening. Rev. C. E. Retten delivered a thoughtful sermon linking patriotism, religion, and duty to country amid world events. The group, about thirty six strong, sang America and closed with prayer Jesus Savior Pilot Me.

Sugar Regulations Update for Lancaster County Merchants

United Brethren Endowment Drive Surpasses Goal
The United Brethren Church endowment drive for Lebanon Valley College closed last Thursday with a reported total of 881 504 dollars. New Holland charge exceeded its goal, raising 5 000 75 dollars over the 4 730 allotment for 478 members at ten dollars each in five annual payments.

Y M C A Work Prompts Mass Meeting in Lancaster Area

Death Calls A. Snader Prominent Citizen
After a long decline in health, Hon. A. Snader, a longtime and widely known figure, died at his West Main Street home on Friday, June 2000, aged 74 years, 4 months, and 5 days. He served as Secretary-Treasurer of the New Holland Company, which formed a mill in Christiana. He was a member of St. Stephen Reformed Church.

Longtime Earl County leader Snader dies after heart failure
Aaron Weaver Snader eldest son of Isaac and Susanna Snader, a Chester County figure, died suddenly from dropsy and heart failure. A Lancaster lawyer, Justice of the Peace, and state representative, he led in education, banking, and politics across Earl and New Holland. He married Sarah White Homan in 1875. three children survive. Funeral held at his home with wide attendance from Lancaster and state officials.
