A severe rainstorm struck Lancaster City on Monday evening, delivering 5 to 7 inches of rain that turned streets into fast flowing streams and flooded cellars. Barns on farms near Millersville and Belmont Manor burned in lightning strikes, with losses of 5000 and 8000 dollars respectively.
