Sunday service at St Stephen Reformed Church consecrated two sets of altar and pulpit hangings in white and green as a memorial to Solomon Weaver and Elizabeth Weaver presented by their daughter Mrs. Mary K. Roberts. The church cemetery holds Solomon Weaver's body. Roberts is 87. her birthday falls on St Stephen's anniversary day after Christmas. Intermediate Choir debuted with Miss Bloiss Bachman directing.

Auto Crash Leaves Koch Severely Injured in Borough
A car driven by Lester Wagner struck a wall and a stairway at the Weaver property after Koch swerved while attempting to cross Custer Avenue and Main Street in the borough. Koch was unconscious but revived by Dr. P. A. Wents and removed to his home. He suffered a brain concussion head cuts a hip bruise and other injuries.

George Townsley fifty eight died at 2 15 p m Monday in his home 931 West Main Street Lancaster Borough after a heart attack suffered eighteen days earlier He was the first scout master of Troop 48 Roy Scouts of America and served twelve years on the troop committees He later joined the Lancaster County Council of the Boy Scouts of America and would have reached twenty four years of continuous service in March He organized the Sea Ber Scout movement in New Holland in 1917 under his leadership the troop prospered and aided in selling Liberty Bonds during World War I He was active with the local Y M C A and Trinity Lutheran Church Continued on Page 4.

George N Martin seventy five of New Holland died at his home from ailments after a month long illness. He belonged to the Groffdale Mennonite church and was survived by his wife who predeceased him, six children Hettie Lizzie Susanna Annie and Mary and their spouses, thirty four grandchildren and a half sister. Funeral services will be held from his residence on Saturday February 1 at 9 am with a second service at Groffdale Mennonite church at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the church cemetery nearby.

Walter Swope son of the late Fred erick and Ellen Swope died Wednesday morning in Good Shepherds Hospital Norristown after complications. He was a member of the Reformed church of Norristown and survived by his wife Frieda a son George Albert of New York City and siblings Clarence Ellen Gertrude and Fred.
