David M. Rutt 63 died at his son in law John M Gerhart's home in Ephrata at 5 30 AM after a long illness. He lived in Blue Ball before three months ago and was a member of New Holland Reformed Church and the Knights of Mystic Chain. Survived by Lena Burkey his wife and children Edwin M Coatesville Horace B Hinkletown Mabel Katz Blue Ball Florence E Gerhart Ephrata Elsie Smith this borough and David M Jr Coatesville. Also survived by Mary Hooker George Rutt Edwin M Rutt and Mrs J G Weaver Murrell. Services held at home and Weaverland Mennonite Church with interment in adjoining cemetery.

Eliza Anne Kendig aged 90 died Sunday evening at 7 at her nephew Diller Kendig's home 316 Jackson Street New Holland after a brief illness. She belonged to St Pauls Reformed Church Lancaster. Services were held Thursday at 12 30 p m at the nephew’s home and 2 p m at the Reformed cemetery chapel in Quarryville. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery.

A three week series of evangelistic services starts Sunday February 9 at the United Brethren in Christ Church in the borough. J Roland Kinzer, Lancaster, won the special congressional election to fill W W Griest’s seat, defeating George W Hensel Jr from Quarryville 15 607 to 7 253 with an 8 354 margin. Local man and two passengers escape serious injuries in Bareville collision
