29th Annual Session Teachers Institute Held at Hess Hall
The twenty ninth annual session of the Teachers Local Institute in this district met at Hess Hall with I W Martin presiding. Key discussions covered methods for aiding defective and backward children and improving reading instruction, plus social and hygienic school improvements and an evening lecture by S C Schmucker. Officers elected for next year were A L Grove president E R Kraybill vice president Anna R Barton secretary and D W Geist treasurer.

Mennonite Mission Board Drafts Constitution After LancasterH Mennonite meeting
A conference at East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church Lancaster appointed a committee to draft a constitution and by laws for electing and governing a mission board. Rev Noah Mack presided with Peter Nissley as secretary. The committee includes bishops Weaver Nissley and Uwwerr and several pastors and lay members from Mount Joy New Holland and Millersville. A follow-up all day meeting is scheduled for Wednesday to advance the movement.
