Twin Calves Born on Farm Near Gap

Harry W. Martin 64 of Selinsgrove R2 died early Tuesday from a stroke. He was the son of Henry A. and Alice Weaver Martin and a Stauffer Mennonite Church member. He is survived by his wife Katie B. Stauffer and ten children including Enos, Henry, Ammon, Titus, Aaron, Nathan, Ira, Norman, and Alice. Funeral today at 9 a.m. at his late home with interment in Stauffer Mennonite Cemetery in Snyder County.

Diller Will Awards $10,000 to Quincy U B Home for Memorial
Harriet J. Diller, a 90-year-old resident, died January 16 at Lancaster General Hospital after a fall. Her will, filed for probate, leaves $10,000 to the Quincy U B Home to erect the Harriet J. Diller Memorial, plus $1,000 to Rev. Frank C. Aungst and wife, $500 to Lebanon Valley College, $200 to the Women’s Missionary Society of the New Holland U B Church, and $200 to Zeltenreich Reformed Church Cemetery. The estate is valued at about $15,000 with the residue of personal property to the Quincy Home. Mrs. Diller, formerly of Ephrata, lived at 107 West Main Street and was active in church work for over 50 years. Death attributed to a fractured left femur with bronchial pneumonia as contributing factor.
