Amos M. Zimmerman sold the New Holland Garment Factory he built in 1933 and expanded later to Benjamin and Irving Milberg of New York. Zimmerman stays on for a time as the plant continues undergarment production and aims to add employees and build an annex. Milberg and Milberg Inc. is the new firm name.

Hold Pair for Court in Theft of Bakery Goods
Two men were recommitted to jail for court after a hearing before Justice of the Peace Ed gar Getz in Blue Ball. Eugene Marshall twenty six of New Holland R 2 was charged with receiving stolen goods and firearms violations and William DeHaven eighteen of East Earl R 1 was charged with larceny. Constable Harland Simmons and Chief K L Sharp led arrests after bakery employee William Lauser spotted two men with merchandise loading a car at Wright bakery New Holland around 10 pm Monday night. Marshall was found with a revolver and the car registered to him, leading to further arrests.

Mrs George H Squibb Dies After Illness At Home
Mrs George H Squibb age seventy nine formerly of Birdsboro died at 7 30 am last Thursday at her home near Churchtown after a week long illness. She was a graduate nurse from Reading Hospital class of 1908 and a member of the Elizabeth Herr Chapter Eastern Star Reading and Gouglersville Reformed Church. Butcher 1108 Pound Hog Brought To Hinkletown Shop
A three year old Poland China hog owned by Christ M. Good of New Holland R 1 was butchered Wednesday morning at Henry Good’s butcher shop in Hinkletown. The hog weighed 1108 pounds after dressing and measured nine feet long when suspended. It yielded eight and three fourths standard cans of lard. the largest ham weighed 78 pounds. The animal was slaughtered by Abe Levering of Ephrata.
