Steer Escape Near Brecknock Leads to Rescue Attempt
A wild steer escaped from a Brecknock township farm on Tuesday night as it was loaded for transport. Driver Paul Shreiner of New Holland tried to catch the animal on horseback but was thrown when the horse stumbled and sustained injuries later treated by a physician. The steer was found among cows on Wednesday morning.
