Local Legionnaires Distribute Over 300 Bonus Applications
The American Legion Post has distributed more than 300 forms for the Pennsylvania State Bonus. At Tuesday’s executive meeting the Post voted to have someone on duty tonight and as long as necessary to help veterans fill out their applications. Two new members were admitted. Friday, January 20, is the last day to give to the Tide of Toys, which will be sent to Philadelphia by express today.

Bolton Receives Kentucky Stallion Adcock’s Silver King
Ralph C. Bolton of Schaefferstown was awarded care of the Tennessee walking horse stallion Adcock's Silver King by lot from many applicants. The horse will have a home for life and be available to Amish farmers for breeding if desired, with Bolton covering safe transport to Pennsylvania. Bolton, owner of a pair of 1945 Paynesville grand champion Belgiums, plans to host the stallion at Schaefferstown once he returns from Kentucky.
