Elizabeth A Doud aged 86 wife of Charles Av Doud died Thursday at 4 45 p m near Mechanicsburg from complications of disease after an illness of six months. She was born June 9 1886 at Holtwood to John L and Mary Grassel Weitzel. She lived in Easton for about four years and is survived by her husband a son her parents and three sisters Mrs Gertrude Heiney Mrs Clara Alloman. Funeral was private from the Heiney home Monday at 9 a m with services at Union Hill Cemetery Kenett Square Chester County at 2 p m burial there.

Youngster Nearly Strangles on Tiny Prize Watch
Four year old boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Shirk near New Holland, swallowed a toy watch from a prize package. The trinket lodged in his throat but his parents and a machinist helped by turning him head down and patting his back. The watch was dislodged and the child recovered with no lasting harm.
