Edward Styer of Narvon R1dl was arrested and reportedly confessed to a crime at Union Grove along the Erie river. The motive, stated in the confession, was jealousy over Eva Martin nineteen, daughter of Mr and Mrs Benjamin H Martin of Union Grove. Funeral services were held from the Lincoln home and at Middle Creek church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
