Salis bury Township Fire Company Organized In 19014
Citizens formed Salis bury Township Fire Company No 1 on January 17 at Salis bury Central High School. During the year they raised about 1400 dollars for five chemical engines and houses. On January 9 the first annual election named Geo H Hilton president C E Blackbill vice president H E Baxter secretary John Riehl treasurer A M Kartz fire chief and Samuel J Reeser trustee. All funds have been paid and a balance remains for supplies.
