Two daughters survive. Funeral held at the late home then Trinity Lutheran Church with interment in Lutheran cemetery. Also Mary I Esbenshade wife of Charles Esbenshade died at forty seven after a yearlong illness. Survived by husband and six children and relatives in Ephrata. Burial arrangements not stated.

Woman Stricken at Church Dies in Elizabethtown
Mrs. John H. Steiner aged 61 died at her Clarks street home Sunday after a heart attack suffered while at United Zion's Children church in Elizabethtown. She died before aid, survived by her husband six children and two brothers. She belonged to Christ Lutheran church.

Soldier’s Body Brought Home From War Service
The body of Private Arnold Coxon Smith U.S. Marine Corps who died in France on November 14 1918 arrived in New York last week and was sent to Funeral Director J C Henninger. He enlisted April 1918 served in France where he lost an arm and died of pneumonia. His body was taken to the home of his parents Mr and Mrs Albert Smith 629 Lake Street Lancaster and funeral services are set for Saturday with a 1 30 PM home service followed by a 2 80 PM Mennonite church interment in the adjacent cemetery.

Fatal injuries claim Elmer Redcay near Hinkletown
Elmer Redcay 24 a farmer of West Earl township died in General Hospital after a New Year’s Day accident when his sleeve was caught by a tractor engine flywheel while shredding corn fodder. He leaves a wife and child, and his parents Mr and Mrs Abram Redcay. Funeral at home private then Metzler’s Mennonite Meeting House with bishops Weaver and Mack officiating.

Man’s Suicide Linked to Wife Illness in Warwick Township
Despondent over his wife Matilda Steffy Landis illness, 59 year old Harry C. Landis of Warwick township near Oregon hanged himself in his barn Saturday. He was found Sunday morning by neighbors and pronounced dead by the coroner. A retired blacksmith and Mennonite, he leaves a wife and daughter Mrs. John Stoner of Lititz, plus numerous siblings. Funeral held at Mrs. Fry’s home with burial in Landis Valley Mennonite cemetery.
