Tobacco Heist At Brownstown Camp Grounds
About 830 pounds of tobacco worth $140 was stolen from a frame building on the Brownstown camp meeting grounds Tuesday night. Property of John M. Greiner of Talmage, it had been raised, cured and stripped at the camp grounds. No suspects found. Greiner and a neighbor searched Reading for the missing tobacco but no trace was located.

Levi Ludwig Obituary in Reading and Leacock Township
Levi Ludwig died Saturday night at his home in Reading from paralysis. He was almost sixty four and spent most of his life in Leacock township before moving to Reading twenty eight years ago. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Lutheran church in Mechanicsburg at 8:30 a.m. with interment in the Lutheran cemetery.

Narrow Escape Near Toll Gate In Honeybrook
On Sunday evening two teams belonging to Harry Leslie of Honeybrook narrowly escaped demolition near the toll gate. One team stood at the gate and Leslie tried to pull his trap around as the 6 30 car moved west. The near horse was struck and thrown under the car but the vehicle stopped immediately, avoiding serious damage.

A tramp about seventy identified as John Hibel was found dead in David Martin's barn in East Earl township on Sunday. Death is believed from exposure and a sore foot after entering the barn Saturday night. Constable George Weaver moved the body to the Lancaster county almshouse morgue. Horse causes wild dash through Lancaster roadeway
Geo K Rettew of the Keystone Hotel Rothville tied his high spirited pacer outside the Franklin House in Lancaster. The horse bolted colliding with a delivery wagon before crashing at Center Square where it broke a shoulder blade and was shot to end its suffering.
