Trinity Notes Luther League Elects Officers
In a Sunday meeting of the Lutheran church group the Luther League elected Dr Mumma as president G S Townsley as vice president Irma Shaub as secretary and Mary Rutter as treasurer for the coming six months. Christmas services drew large crowds and decorations were praised as the best yet. Tomorrow the Altar sacrament will be administered with a confessional service held before the regular service. The usual communion offering will support local church expenses.

A new constitution was adopted and a drama committee of Helen Rutledge Mary Musselman and David W Weber was formed to select a drama and set a date.

Bible Conference at Morgantown Amish Meeting House
A three day Bible conference at the Morgantown Amish Mennonite Meeting House concluded with two sessions daily led by J. E. Hertzler from Goshen Indiana. The program used charts and outlined topics and several helpers assisted. The house was enlarged last summer and a hitching shed will be built next spring to accommodate horses and grounds expansion.

Blue Ball Market Tops Eastern Pa Horse Trade in 1911
Blue Ball again leads as the region’s top horse market outside Philadelphia for 1911. John D. Barr’s barns sold 10 092 horses 1618 mules 250 cattle and 1826 hogs valued at a million and a half dollars. Buyers came from across the East with shipments to Baltimore and Philadelphia and frequent trade to New York markets. The New Year sale opened strong with nearly 200 horses and 80 mules sold and top prices noted including a horse at 858 and a pair at 507.50.

Local Man Wins Case Over Philadelphia Buyer
Charles F. Ressler of this boro won a civil case against Abraham Stapel of Philadelphia for 700 dollars due on produce shipped in May 1911. Ressler delivered seven hundred dollars of butter eggs and potatoes. Stapel paid 628 with a stopped check claim. The Philadelphia jury returned a verdict in Ressler's favor after about ten minutes of deliberation.
