New Holland Library Sets 1944 Circulation Record
The New Holland Public Library reports a 1944 total circulation of 12 680 books and periodicals, surpassing 1942’s 10 148. Children and adults contributed nearly equally with 6 386 juvenile circulations and about 6 194 for adults. Leola Youth Injured In County Car Crash
Leola youth Leola resident Groff, nineteen, son of Mr and Mrs Sanford, was admitted to Lancaster General Hospital at 8 30 am Wednesday with possible pelvis fracture and hip injury after a crash that injured four other county youths Tuesday night. The Weaver car, driven by John J Weaver 18 of 362 West Main St in the borough, struck a parked car owned by John A Flora of New Holland R2 on Main Street near the Peoples Restaurant.
