Obituary of Lizzie Weaver of Waynesboro Virginia
Lizzie Weaver widow of H Weaver of Waynesboro and former Leacock resident died at Kings Rs Hospital Stanton on Wednesday morning. She was 75 or 76 based on text and was a daughter of Joseph Hershey and Fannie Hershey of Leacock. Survived by sons Henry, Joseph, Samuel and others, daughters Mrs Etta Heattwole and Mrs Fannie Seaman and Mrs David Weaver, all of Virginia. Funeral services at the late home Saturday at 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm at the UgJdale Mennonite Church with burial in the added cemetery.

Visiting nurse narrowly escapes death in collision near Levy's
Miss Katherine Strickler twenty seven of Columbia and a Visiting Nurses Association nurse escaped serious harm when her auto collided with a west bound milk train on the Downingtown and Lancaster line at Levy's tobacco warehouse near Green Bank. The 12 15 p m crash crushed the car between the tender and the embankment as she returned to New Holland. Witnesses described the scene and the immediate surroundings including Mr and Mrs Jacob Smith and family.

Chester County police seek two youths who beat John Riggins a 65 year old gas station proprietor near Honey Brook last Monday night. They robbed him of $18 and dragged him into bushes leaving him semi conscious. Riggins was found later with head injuries and a broken right hand. he declined hospital care. Both suspects wore caps and were tall and thin. one man grabbed his cane during the assault.
