Miss Blanche Nevin, born 1843 to John W. Nevin and Martha Jenkins, bought Windsor Forge in 1899 from Catharine R. Cummins to restore the neglected mansion. With caretakers absent, she oversaw repairs as Wm. J. McCaa directed carpenters and laborers to revive roof panes lawns terraces and orchard.
