A severe weekend storm dumped snow sleet rain and high winds causing widespread damage to telephones trees and poles in New Holland and surrounding areas. Sixty three phones were knocked out after lines tangled with Traction Company wires, service was disrupted for the day, and merchants faced a dull Saturday with roads blocked and travel limited.
