Burnell Imhoff 36 of Clay was elected full time special officer for New Holland Borough to enforce motor and borough laws. He is a World War II veteran who enlisted at 17 and served in Company D 451st Machine Gun Battalion 42nd Division. He enlisted from Lititz and plans to move to New Holland once housing is secured.

Conrad Commauf fifty four of Grofidale died after a fall at a hunting lodge near Phillipsburg Pennsylvania. Funeral services were held at his home with interment at Zeltenreich cemetery. He had worked for Penn Dairies for twenty nine years as an inspector in charge of farm sanitation. He is survived by his wife and daughter, three sisters, a brother, and a cousin. He was a member of the K G E of Brownstown and Zeltenreich Reformed Church.

He recounts a tale of driving through a valley losing direction and shooting his gun in the air to bring down a buck. The carcass froze solid on the way down and he hacked it off near the ground.

The Spring Garden Gun Club reports four deer shot in Tioga county. The Summitville Gun Club reports two six point bucks. Lloyd Laukhoff and Winters Bair each secured one. Samuel Augsburger of Bar Town ship killed an eight point buck weighing 228 pounds. He spied a deer from camp door and killed it with one shot. Clayton W. Two Hurt and Horse Killed in Bareville Crash
A farmer Daniel Zook and his wife suffered scalp laceration and shock respectively when a motor car hit the rear of their buggy one mile east of Bareville on the New Holland pike at 10 39 p m last Thursday. Paul Reifsnyder of New Holland drove the car. Dr P R Wentz treated the injured. The horse was killed and a local veterinarian was summoned.
