Air Unity Opposed by Morrow Board in Report
Washington. The Morrow Air Corps Board rejected all riot recommendations of Colonel William Mitchell and called his criticisms of America’s air collapse unfounded. It urged stronger aviation standing in the Army and Navy and urged U. S. leadership in commercial aviation. The board told President Coolidge that U S air forces compare favorably with major powers and that US pilots fly safely across miles without accidents. It warned against a unified air force with a single secretary and a single department of national defense potentially harming economy and wartime efficiency.
