Local Scout Leader Wins Third Silver Beaver Award

Clyde H. Kauffman a longtime Scout leader and Lancaster County business figure receives the third Silver Beaver award for outstanding service to youth. Since joining Scouting in 1926 and earning Eagle in 192, he has served as Assistant Scoutmaster Scoutmaster troop committeeman and camping committee chair and now sits on the County Executive Board. He has camped at Chicquetan and Welshova and is active in Cloister District affairs.
