Minnie M Hoover seven weeks old daughter of Elam B and Ada B Hoover near Brownstown died Tuesday evening at 11 oclock of infant trouble. Survived by sister Frances and brothers Elmer Emory and Leroy at home. Funeral held privately Thursday at 1 PM in the Groffdale Mennonite church with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

E S Frankhouser a West Main Street lineman for Enterprise Telephone Co. was injured Monday morning when a pole snapped at the base at Union Grove. Boy Admits Firing Barn In Juvenile Court
Melvin Brubaker, fifteen, of Bareville R. D. 1, confessed to setting a barn fire on July 8 causing about $10,000 in damage. His housemate Alpheus Groff admitted guilt and was sent to the Rotary Home for Boys. Relatives call him a good boy amid the case. He said he used a match to see the flames and excitement. He denied other recent nearby fires.

Lions End Cubs Shuffle With 8 3 Victory
Lions Club defeats New Holland Cubs 8 to 3 in five innings to tie the series at one game each. Pitcher J Paul Kochel fanned 12 and allowed only two singles while Cubs starter James Gilfillan was roughed up, giving up four runs in the third and fourth innings aided by three errors. Thousands attended the Liberty Fire Company No. 1 annual festival at Stork Field in the borough last Saturday evening July 26th. A light rain fell after the crowd dispersed.
