Hollands oldest woman celebrates ninety third birthday
Ts ry A Sutton of West Main Tree borough marks her ninety third birthday this Saturday April 29. She is active for her age and a descendant of the Diffenderfer family who settled here in the early eighteenth century. Isabelle Buck also reached ninety, living with the Musselman family near Kinzer Avenue and East Main Street. Buck attends Zeltenreichs Reformed church and has kept a cheerful disposition since July last year despite confined room. Our congratulations go to both elderly ladies, with wishes for many more birthdays.

Fire damages wash house on Menno Noir farm near Reidenbachs Store
Flames spotted on the roof of a small summer kitchen adjoining a dwelling at Menno Noir farm near Reidenbachs Store around 1 30 pm. Sparks from a wood fire under a boiler ignited shingles. Liberty Fire Company arrived with two engines, roof damage was extensive though overall damage moderate. Farmers report a high ice storage rate this winter, roughly sixteen percent, about double last winter’s figure.
