Mrs. M. M. Hurst of Intercourse was identified by her husband after a four month search. A laborer found the body on a farm near Trappe, with laudanum in a vial nearby. She had traveled from Philadelphia to Reading and beyond, and was buried in Zeltenreich Cemetery after funeral services.

Easter Services Across Borough Churches Highlight Week
In the churches on Easter Sunday Trinity Lutheran held an early Matin service at 6 am and Holy Communion at 10 30 am with more communicants than ever before. An Easter program by the Sunday school pleased a large audience in the evening. Rev J G Noss was absent. KH Lewis Higbee will preach at Zeltenreich Church at 10 am and at St Stephen New Holland at 7 pm. St Stephen Reformed administered Holy Communion. Ranck U B Church plans an all day service on Sunday April 30 with sermons by Rev E A G Bossler and talks by Rev G B Renshaw and others. The Young People’s Society will present a program and services run 9 am 2 pm and 7 30 pm. Red Well Mennonite tomorrow evening Rev John Moseman of Lancaster will preach at Red Well Mennonite Church at 8 o’clock. Everyone is welcome.

Community Loses Several with Recent Deaths in East Earl Area
Multiple obituaries report deaths in the East Earl area and nearby towns. Martin McIntyre of East Earl Township aged sixty six died after apoplectic strokes. Miss Mary A. Hornig and Mrs Anna W. Bender also passed away, with funeral plans and church services noted. Bertha Stauffer, aged three, died near Farmersville from rheumatism. Mrs Mary Hamaker, Manheim Borough’s oldest resident at ninety one, had cancer for twenty years and funeral arrangements are listed.

Harry Bair dug a grave at Zeltens reich cemetery for Mrs. M. M. Hurst when the monument of her father Daniel Diller toppled across the grave. He dodged the falling marble by crouching inside the grave, a two ton weight causing a risky scare until T. M. Stork & Sons corrected the flawed foundation and Bair completed the interment.
