Dr G Gabel dentist moves to 55 West King Street Lancaster offering full dental services with standard prices.
A local market promotes its offerings claiming the freshest Kegs Candies Vegetables and purest groceries canned goods evaporated fruits spices and more. The advertisement emphasizes quality and selection to attract shoppers.
Lancaster county grand jury reports 109 indictments with 81 bills and 28 ignored. It commends the poor board and asylum management, notes prison reforms, and calls for stricter witness use and officer controls after identifying faults and a noted escape. Foreman H A Schroyer leads the panel.
East Earl Township near Spring Grove reports the death of Christian F Zimmerman aged sixty five. He died Friday at his home after asthma and grip complications following a three week illness. A farmer by occupation he was highly respected and survived by wife Mary and nine children six daughters and three sons.
The obituary column lists Lizzie Martin wife of Jonathan, Mary Warner wife of John, Amaneéna Kiefer wife of Harry, and others in Lancaster and West Bast, with funeral pending details. Rev. John Zimmerman and Peter Zimmerman are brothers. A. W. Martin sister of deceased. Funeral held Tuesday morning with services at two mansion locations. Interment in family burying ground on the farm. Also Rev. A Beae of Millersville, aged eighty five, died Sunday. Born in Berks, educated at Mercersburg, served Millersville church ten years then Willow Street and Marietta. He preached 17,seer sermons, delivered 3,000 lectures, made 27,000 visits, traveled 65,000 miles.
Mrs Mary Bushong widow of Benjamin Bushong died Tuesday morning at her home along the road from the 612 road to the Philadelphia turnpike east of Lancaster. She was in her eighty fourth year and survived by two children Sam a farmer near Leola and Laura wife of George W Barr of Barth town ship. She belonged to Tieller Reformed church and was esteemed. Funeral held at her son s residence on Thursday with services at 10 o clock and interment at Heller church.
Mrs Addie Brubaker wife of Ronard P Brubaker died at her home in Bear town Monday evening aged 35 She was daughter of the late John Phaler of Glen Moore Cheater County a member of Fairview Presbyterian church near Glen Moore Survived by husband four children two brothers and four sisters yesterday morning
Israel Mull, 61, died Friday at the home of his son in law Benjamin Deibler near Herbustown after a long illness from typhoid pneumonia. Born in Voganville, he was a longtime stone mason and served as sexton of Bergatrasse Lutheran church. His widow, also gravely ill, and their daughter Mrs. Deibler survive him.

A Jacksonville Illinois woman testifies to weight gain and relief from monthly pains after using the medicine.
The fourth annual banquet of Ephrata Lodge No. 406 17 OO BL was held at Totel Cocalico with about 100 attendees. Speakers included Senator J. A. Stober George A. Kemper H H Frank Estteman and Bernard Negenburgh. The issue also notes a serious hand injury to seven year old Tevan Flory and lists Mountain Springs Rifles officers. Henry Musser is ill and there are deaths and health notices for local residents including Mr Owens.
John W. Stauffer of 340 West Orange Street Lancaster ended his life in the county hospital insane department after seeking admission for treatment. He had suffered mental illness for a year and, despite restraints, hanged himself with a bed blanket strip from a window grate. He was 64 and survived by a wife and two daughters.
The United Brethren church in the borough plans enlarged renovations and will use the M B E church for principal services during construction. Tomorrow's schedule includes Sunday school at 9 30 am, Y P C U at 6 45 pm, preaching at 7 45 pm, and Junior Y P C U at the parsonage. The pastor will join county pastors to preach on the Lord's Day observance. Quarterly conference at Ranek's church on Saturday May 5 at 4 45 pm with communion and preaching by the presiding elder on Sunday morning May 6.

Out on crutches, yesterday J. D. Warfel, a well known auctioneer, appeared on the streets after severe foot wounds. The wound is healing rapidly.
A citizens movement in Denver, this county, seeks to incorporate the growing town as a borough, noting that Denver has reached a size that warrants this municipal step.
Thursday afternoon a fire tore along the Welsh mountain on the south side of the Downingtown and Lancaster railroad between Beartown and Churchtown Road stations. The blaze spread toward the summit and, by night, a long line of fire was visible. A large acreage was burned, with substantial damage likely. Officials believe sparks from a locomotive started the fire.
Peter Hart of Reading died at his home 936 Muhlenberg street Tuesday evening from a paralytic stroke. A shoe maker by trade, he had lived in retirement the past year. He was a longtime member of St. Peter M E church and was well liked for his jovial disposition. He is survived by his wife and seven children. Mrs. Hart is sister to Mrs. A. W. Snader of this borough.
Miss Sallie Irvin died unexpectedly at her brother-in-law Franklin Bender's home in Mechanicsburg after a brief illness. Surviving sisters include Mrs. Franklin Bender Mrs. Harvey Lytie Miss Sue of Meshasies aes and Miss Lizzie of East Lampeter township. Funeral services are set for 1 PM at Mr. Bender's home and 2 PM at Heller's Church with interment to follow.
Jessie I. Dauman of Honeybrook editor of the Graphic visited the Clarion last Saturday. Warfel of Gap spent Sunday with his brother J. D. Warfel. Irvin Mentzer of Lancaster spent Sunday in town with his parents. Bertha Freedeck of Blue Ball was in town Sunday guest of Mrs. Charles Bair. Maria Kinzer spent days at Gibraltar near Reading this week. Mrs. Jessop of York visits daughter Mrs. Geo. W. Kinzer. Mrs. Chester Fritz and Miss Catharine Good spent days with friends in Lancaster. Mrs. R. S. Brubaker spent days in Honeybrook with her daughter Mrs. Paxson. A. W. Snader and wife attended the funeral of Peter Hart in town. Harry E. B. Rutter spent the week in Lancaster serving as a juror. Tra. C. Chirk of Lancaster was in town several days.
