The Young Men's Business League met at Trinity Lutheran Church Parish House Tuesday evening with Cauller presiding. George B Good was installed as president, Lee Stauffer first vice president, Reuben Sweigart second vice president, Henry Swope secretary, and Daniel Oehme treasurer. Past president J Frank Lammey thanked committees. Martin Kurtz resigned as past president. Officer Strayer of Lancaster spoke on police cruisers safety and juvenile delinquency, ending with Q and A on the Highway Code.

They endured tropical conditions and pests, traveled by boat from Argentina to New Orleans, then up the east coast through the Caribbean to Venezuela and Curaçao before reaching the United States via New Orleans. The journey home passed Panama Canal and a stay in Argentina before arrival. They sold personal possessions while Mr. Martin kept land and cattle in Paraguay managed by an agent.

Riley seventy three of Blue Ball died at 12 45 p m Wednesday at Lancaster General Hospital from a heart condition after two months illness He was a representative of Reliable Dairy at Blue Ball He is survived by a son Harold F Riley Terre Hill two grandsons and a brother George Riley of Phoenixville Funeral services from Esenbahade Funeral Home 145 West Main Street this borough on Monday at 2 30 p m Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery New Holland Friends may call Sunday evening from 7 00 to 9 00 o clock

Mr and Mrs John G H Garrett announce the engagement of Ruth Jean Weitzel of Summit Hill to Pfc Donald K Wright USA son of Mr and Mrs H Earle Wright of New Holland. Weitzel a Lockport N Y native and Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing alumna, class of 1942, did post graduate work at UPenn Hospital. Wright a Lafayette College graduate and Delta Upsilon member is stationed at Laredo Texas.
Mr and Mrs Henry W Burne of Los Angeles announce the engagement of their daughter Norah Elizabeth Burne to Ensign James Watson Buyers USNR son of the Rev and Mrs William Buyers of Christiana Miss Burne is a senior in the School of Music at the University of Southern California She is active in campus groups plays the college chimes and is pianist for a coast to coast broadcast under Dr Charles E Fuller Buyers is a graduate of Stony Brook School NY and Grove City College former mathematics instructor at Strasburg High School and Boy Scout leader He earned his wings at Pensacola last August and serves in the Ferrying Command stationed at Floyd Bennett Field Brooklyn.
The Constant Workers' Class of Trinity Lutheran Sunday School will host Your Own Birthday Party on Tuesday April 25 at 7 30 p m in the Parish House. Humorous entertainment will be provided during the evening. A nominal charge will be made and all are invited.

Senior Girl Scouts of New Holland met at Grace Cooper home to prepare V-NEWS for mailing and begin a service book. Officers will be elected at the first May meeting with all scouts urged to attend and Nancy Ambler hosting next Monday evening. The session closed with the Scout Promise Laws and Taps.

Second Lieutenant Edward Harold Plank 22 of this borough, navigator on an Eighth Air Force Flying Fortress, earned the Air Medal for courage and skill shown during five heavy bombing raids on Nazi targets in Germany and occupied Europe. Son of Mr and Mrs Abram W Plank of 369 East Main Street, he began aviation cadet training December 10 1942 at San Antonio Texas, trained at Hondo and was commissioned October 7 1943.

Mrs Raymond M Miller formerly Helen Frank of New Holland R2 returned home from Shreveport where she married Corporal Miller on February 23. Mr and Mrs C W Good will visit New York City with their son Midshipman Charles W Good Jr at Plattsburg, accompanied by Miss Betty Lyman. Mr and Mrs Eli D Wenger of Blue Ball and daughter Susan returned from Goshen Indiana visiting daughter Arlene in college.
A Red Cross blood mobile unit will be at the planned location on Monday at noon to collect donations. The event aims to boost local blood reserves and serves donors in the community.
