Pupils of Voganville school presented an operetta Peter Rabbit Helps the Children on Thursday afternoon. A large crowd attended as prizes were awarded for penmanship arithmetic progress best cakes embroidery and woodwork by named students. Judges included Mrs. Stauffer Miss Varns and Miss Martin. Music was by the Voganville Jug Band led by Karl McKarty Kenneth Buch Bob Nelms and Ralph Neidermyer.

George Bard aged 76 died of heart trouble at 9 am Wednesday after a four week illness. He directed the Northern Trust Company Lancaster and owned an implement store in Leacock.
