Opening Day Trout Harvest Suits Local Anglers
William Yundt led the opening day with twelve trout from local streams, four medium and eight large. Isaac Mentzer George Sprecher and James Bair followed with ten fine trout. Mentzer credited for best luck. H M Hoffman and Melvin Seldomridge fished northward to mount streams and brought seventeen. W Scott Seldomridge posted seven title-length fish, and E B Yundt from Blue Ball counted nine.

On April 19 1907 heavy snow swept the eastern region. Snow fell throughout the day with brief intervals of shelter. Citizens reported cold winds and muted streets as the unusual late April snowfall lingered across towns.

The Meurchini Hess Hall hosted a chicken and wattle supper last Saturday evening that was a decided success. The event raised 249.00, to be devoted to the parsonage fund.

Bad Runaway Injures Bowers On Main Street
Elam Bowers son of H S Bowers of West Main street was jolted by a runaway horse attached to a buggy near the Western school house. The horse bolted after a trolley car fright, tearing harness breaking shafts and kicking Bowers in the leg, leaving a bad bruise. Repair men nearby restrained the horse. no other damage reported.

The local talent of Rothsville under the K G E of Rothsville staged Ten Nights In a Barroom at Retten's Hall on Friday and Saturday. The hall was packed and over a hundred were turned away. Performers acquitted themselves well and deserve praise and have been asked to tour other towns.
