Brigadier General Daniel B Strickler of Lancaster spoke to the New Holland Rotary Club on his first hand impressions of the war He is a veteran of both World Wars and recently commanded a combat team of the 28th Regiment He described the long pre invasion planning and the brutal fighting that followed
On Sunday evening at 7:30 Mt Airy E C Church will host a candlelight Easter service depicting Passion Week from the Triumphal Entry to the Resurrection. The decor highlights Garden scene Cross and Tomb with a full program including scripture readings solos duets choirs and announcements.

The Ladies' Bible Class of Trinity Lutheran Bible School will host a spelling bee in the Parish House on Wednesday evening April 24. Two classes for different ages plus a general information class open to all. Prizes in each class, with entertainment and music between sessions. Bee starts at 7:30 p.m.
The Community Memorial Committee is organized by President Herbert T. Randon of the Liberty Fire Company to establish quarters for youth and community activities and a memorial center. The committee will meet at the fire hall on Thursday April 25 to organize.
