Kate Brubaker widow of Isaac Brubaker aged 80 died Monday at 11 80 at her New Street home after a sixteen month illness of complications. Survived by sons William Martin and Harry Brubaker of Reading and daughters Lizzie Yundt of New Holland and Anna at home. She belonged to United Brethren Church of New Holland. Funeral held Thursday at 10 80 from home and 11 at United Brethren Church with burial in adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Susanna Hoover Dies With Pneumonia at 69
Susanna Hoover sixty nine widow of Aaron M. Hoover died Wednesday at 1 PM at her son-in-law David N. Horst home near Farmersville after a two week illness. She belonged to the Mennonite church. Survived by sons Edwin Z Schoeneck and Aaron Z Weaverland and several stepchildren. Also surviving are brothers Iizra Zimmerman and Levi and sisters Mrs. Lydia Metzler Mrs. Sirbura White and Mrs. Fianna Bassler. Funeral at her late home Saturday 9 AM then Groffdale Mennonite Church at 10 AM with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

John Appel seventy six died at his home near Kinzer on Wednesday morning at 4 o clock from complications after a six year illness. He was a lifelong farmer and member of Hellers Reformed church. Survived by Emma at home Conrad of Sadsbury township and John of Refton. Funeral from the home Saturday at 2 PM with burial in Millwood cemetery.

Fire Threatens Dwelling Near New Holland
A vacant frame house owned by Jacob Martin near Custer Road south of New Holland caught fire from pitch heated on an oil stove in the kitchen. Martin battled the flames risking injury, narrowly saving the structure before Liberty Fire Company arrived. eyebrows singed and face scorched.

Runaway Auto Injures Two on Kirkwood Road
J C Showalter and Harry Stauffer Terre Hill contractors were seriously injured en route to Kirkwood to witness highway bid openings.
